Mumbai: In a recent incident, a 17-year-old boy from Maharashtra’s Navi Mumbai township has reportedly gone missing after leaving home to sit for his class 12 board examination.

Authorities from the Rabale police station in Mumbai have been alerted about the missing boy. According to a police official, the teenager left his residence in Ghansoli at approximately 8:45 am on Wednesday to travel to a college in Vashi for his scheduled exam. However, his failure to return home by late evening raised concerns among his family members, who then launched a search operation. After their efforts proved fruitless, the worried family contacted the Rabale police station to file a missing person report.

Upon receiving the complaint from the boy’s father, law enforcement officials registered a case under Section 363 (kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code, as per news agency PTI.

Investigations into the boy’s disappearance are currently ongoing, with authorities leaving no stone unturned in their search efforts.

Other Kidnapping Incidents Across India

Aside from this incident, there have been reports of other kidnapping cases in different parts of India.

Recently, a two-year-old girl was abducted from Pettah, Thiruvananthapuram, on Sunday night. The toddler, named Mary, is the daughter of a couple from Bihar who had migrated to Kerala. Amardeep and Rabeena Devi, the parents of the child, had moved to Kerala with their four children and elderly mother.

In a separate incident, a man and two of his relatives were implicated after he eloped with a minor girl from Navi Mumbai. The man and the girl had been in a relationship for the past six months, revealed a statement from a Panvel Town police station official.
