Accident – Death – Obituary News : In a shocking turn of events, a confrontation between two women in Allentown escalated into a violent street fight that resulted in a shooting on Tuesday evening. According to Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan, the incident unfolded at a residence in the 1800 block of West Turner Street.

The altercation began after the two women agreed to settle their differences in a physical confrontation, with each of them bringing a group of supporters to the scene. As tensions escalated, two men from opposing groups engaged in a heated argument, leading to the outbreak of gunfire. One of the men, identified as 22-year-old Axel Yadiel Suarez-Vidal, allegedly fired a handgun into the crowd, causing injuries to four individuals.

Suarez-Vidal now faces serious charges, including four counts of felony aggravated assault and seven counts of misdemeanor reckless endangerment. Following his surrender to authorities, he was arraigned before District Judge David M. Howells Jr., who denied him bail in the case.

The victims of the shooting, three women and one man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. The Allentown Police Department, in collaboration with the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, is conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.

This disturbing incident comes on the heels of a violent weekend in the city, where a 33-year-old man was found shot dead at a birthday party on East Walnut and South Dauphin streets. Authorities are appealing for witnesses to come forward as they continue to search for suspects in that case.

Despite the recent spate of violence, authorities have clarified that there is no evidence linking the two shootings. The Allentown community remains on edge as they grapple with the aftermath of these senseless acts of violence.
