Adelin Itongwa : Man Charged in Baldwin Mother Murder: Suspect Arrested for Young Woman’s Death

A Monroeville man has been taken into custody in relation to the tragic shooting death of Ramiah Griffin, a 20-year-old resident of Baldwin. The incident took place on February 9 in the 5400 block of Youngridge Drive, Baldwin.

Upon receiving a distress call, Allegheny County police rushed to the scene and discovered Griffin had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Remarkably, Griffin’s one-year-old child was found unharmed in a nearby room within the apartment.

Following an exhaustive investigation by county authorities, Adelin Itongwa, a 22-year-old individual, was identified as the prime suspect in the case. Shockingly, Itongwa is also the father of the child who was found unharmed in the apartment.

Itongwa has been formally charged with criminal homicide and endangering the welfare of a child. Currently, he is being held at the Allegheny County Jail as the legal proceedings unfold.
