Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Feb. 21 (UPI) — Authorities have apprehended a 26-year-old man suspected of brutally killing a woman in a Manhattan hotel room earlier this month. Raad Almansoori was arrested in Arizona, where he is also accused of attacking two more women, raising concerns that there may be additional victims.

The victim, Denisse Oleas-Arancibia, 38, was found dead on February 8 in her room at the SoHo 54 Hotel in Manhattan. Police had been searching for Almansoori until his arrest on Sunday as he was driving a stolen car in Arizona.

Warning of Potential Additional Victims

Authorities in New York City have urged the public nationwide to contact law enforcement if they have any information about Almansoori’s whereabouts. They are concerned that there could be more victims in other communities across the country.

NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Public Information Tarik Sheppard stated during a press conference that it is crucial to alert communities about Almansoori’s presence and potential danger.

Details of the Murder

New York Police Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny revealed that Almansoori is accused of killing Oleas-Arancibia, an escort, between February 7 and February 8. The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head, with evidence of a broken iron and plastic pieces found at the crime scene.

Investigators discovered that Almansoori had a dispute with the victim over the duration of his stay in her hotel room before the fatal incident occurred.

Spree of Crimes in Arizona

After fleeing New York, Almansoori travelled to Arizona, where he allegedly attempted to carjack a woman and later stabbed a McDonald’s employee multiple times. He was eventually arrested in Scottsdale while driving a stolen vehicle.

Almansoori reportedly informed Arizona police that he was wanted for murder in New York City and admitted to harming three other women in Florida.

Previous Criminal Record

Despite never being arrested in New York, Almansoori has an extensive criminal record in other states. He was out on bail since September following charges of kidnapping and sexual assault of an escort in Florida.

Currently held in Maricopa County, Almansoori faces multiple charges ranging from theft and robbery to homicide.

Upcoming Press Conference

The Surprise Police Department in Arizona is expected to hold a press conference on the case at 10 a.m. Wednesday to provide further updates on the investigation.
