Accident – Death – Obituary News :
Salamanca Police have been busy in the past week, making several arrests in the area. On Thursday morning, Quinton A. Powless, 28, of Salamanca, was arrested on a bench warrant issued out of Cattaraugus County Court. Powless was then turned over to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
On Friday, Lindsay M. Goode, 39, of Salamanca, was arrested on a warrant issued out of Salamanca City Court for second-degree criminal trespass and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Meanwhile, John D. Newark, 40, of Little Valley, was also arrested on two bench warrants issued out of Salamanca City Court.
Later on Thursday, Christopher J. Fiegl, 42, of Salamanca, was arrested on a warrant for second-degree grand larceny, while Yancey A. Dowdy, 36, of Salamanca, was arrested on three bench warrants.
Wellsville Police Activity
Wellsville Police also had their hands full in the past week. Caleb J. Kessler, 25, of Olean, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and inadequate muffler after a traffic stop on South Main Street.
Jason G. Bundy, 49, of Genesee, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated and other infractions following a traffic stop on the same street.
Incidents in Cuba
In Cuba, Harvey J. Honeck, 80, was charged with second-degree menacing and reckless endangerment, while Andrew P. Beckendorf, 40, was charged with criminal mischief and other offences following domestic disputes involving weapons.
Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Updates
At Little Valley, Danielle L. Ray, 30, of Salamanca, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after being found with cocaine and fentanyl during a traffic stop. Francheska M. Sotomayor, currently incarcerated, was charged with promoting prison contraband and assault for allegedly selling drugs to another inmate.
In Salamanca, Jared A. Hubbard, 39, of Ashford, was arrested on a warrant issued out of Cattaraugus County Family Court.
New York State Police Reports
Various incidents were reported by the New York State Police, including accidents, charges of menacing, driving while intoxicated, and other criminal offences.
