The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation after a tragic incident in which a woman was discovered shot to death inside her home in the early hours of Monday morning.
Authorities were alerted to the situation after receiving a distressing 911 call regarding a deceased woman at a residence located in the 9300 block of Spindlewood at around 3 a.m. on Monday.
Upon arrival at the scene, deputies found the lifeless body of a 38-year-old woman identified as Coralyn Vershae Hunt. Shockingly, three of her children were also present in the home at the time of the incident, fortunately unharmed.
It was Hunt’s 17-year-old daughter who made the heartbreaking discovery of her mother’s lifeless body. Reports indicate that Hunt had been fatally shot.
At present, there is uncertainty surrounding any potential suspects connected to the case. However, the sheriff’s office has affirmed that they are treating the incident as a homicide and are actively pursuing all leads in their investigation.
