44-year-old : Florida Man Arrested for Breaking into Ga. Home, Making Hot Chocolate

OCONEE COUNTY, Ga. — A Florida man was taken into custody by Oconee County deputies after allegedly breaking into a home and helping himself to a cup of hot chocolate.

According to reports, authorities received a call about a suspicious individual knocking on doors in the Oliver Bridge Road area on February 6.

One homeowner returned to find his door unlocked and evidence that someone had made hot chocolate inside before leaving the premises.

Another resident encountered the suspect in his kitchen, barefoot and standing by the sliding glass door. The homeowner instructed the man to leave, and he complied before the resident contacted the authorities.

Deputies located the intruder, a 44-year-old male from Doral, Florida, and placed him under arrest for burglary.

The incident serves as a reminder for homeowners to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
