Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Zachery Ty Bryan, well-known for his role in the popular ’90s sitcom “Home Improvement,” found himself in legal trouble once again over the weekend in Riverside County.

The incident occurred on Feb. 17 around 2 a.m. when deputies from the La Quinta Sheriff’s Station conducted a traffic stop in the area of Washington Street and Calle Tampico in La Quinta. The vehicle was suspected of being involved in a recent traffic collision. Upon contacting the driver, deputies noticed signs of impairment, leading to the arrest of the driver for driving under the influence with prior offenses.

The driver was later identified as 42-year-old Zachery Ty Bryan and was taken into custody. He was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio, as per the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

Bryan faced charges of DUI with prior convictions, classified as a felony, and was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court. Bail was set at $50,000 for the DUI charge and $15,000 for contempt of court.

Records indicate that Bryan posted bail on the same day of his arrest. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 23 at the Indio Larson Justice Center.

This recent arrest is just one in a series of legal issues for the former child actor. In July 2023, Bryan was arrested in Lane County, Oregon, on charges of domestic violence, robbery, and harassment. The State alleged that he unlawfully and recklessly caused physical injury to the victim, constituting domestic violence.

After being released following the Oregon arrest, Bryan faced similar charges in October 2020 in Lane County for assault, menacing, harassment, coercion, strangulation, and interference with making a report. While most charges were dropped, he pleaded guilty to assault and menacing charges in 2021, receiving 36 months of probation and a fine of $200.

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter in June 2023, Bryan discussed his legal troubles, mentioning that he chose to accept two misdemeanors to avoid further stress and drama.

From 1991 to 1999, Bryan portrayed Brad Taylor in the iconic sitcom “Home Improvement” alongside Tim Allen. Over the years, he appeared in films such as “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift” (2006) and “Thor: Hammer of the Gods” (2009). His most recent work was in the 2022 movie “The Guardians of Justice (Will Save You!).”
