Despite frantic attempts to contact her via phone, all efforts proved fruitless as her phone remained switched off.
The anguish of Simi’s family led to a missing person report being filed at the Perumbakkam Police Station. However, the search for Simi took a grim turn when her lifeless body was discovered on the OMR Chemmanjeri Road on 28th January 2024.
In a significant development on 3rd February 2024, the police arrested five transgender women involved in the illegal sale of marijuana. Upon further investigation into the backgrounds of the detained individuals, it was revealed that they were responsible for Simi’s tragic demise.
