Amravati: A distressing incident unfolded in Amravati district, Maharashtra, where a 35-year-old man set himself on fire in a public space at Panchavati Nagar Square on Monday morning. The individual involved, identified as Pravin Ingle from Lakshmi Nagar, reportedly poured petrol on himself before igniting the flames.
He sustained significant burns to his hands and stomach, prompting immediate medical attention at the district hospital. According to sources close to Ingle, he had been grappling with psychological challenges prior to the incident.
