MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. (CBS 58) — Authorities in Mount Pleasant responded to a report of shoplifting at an ULTA Beauty store on Saturday, Feb. 17. The incident involved a male suspect who was allegedly caught stealing merchandise.

Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers were able to locate the suspects’ vehicle, which was found to contain a large quantity of stolen goods. The stolen items included hundreds of bottles of cologne and perfume.

The suspects, identified as 36-year-old Jorge Aguilar and 35-year-old Dainerys Socarras-Llopis, both hailing from Cuba, were subsequently taken into custody by the police.

It was revealed by the authorities that Aguilar is currently wanted for removal by ICE. In addition to the stolen fragrances, the suspects’ vehicle also contained 162 pairs of athletic shoes, 41 designer bags, 13 Adidas track suits, and a total of 332 bottles of cologne and perfume. The estimated value of the stolen property is said to be around $48,000.

Following their arrest, Aguilar and Socarras-Llopis were transported to the Racine County jail, where charges were later filed by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office. Police have indicated that both individuals are suspected of being involved in thefts across various locations in Wisconsin and other states.

The case remains under investigation as authorities work to gather more information and evidence related to the incident.
