Instead of braving the traffic on the roads, he took to the skies as a pilot in a two-seater plane to reach his destination in a fraction of the time.
The man, known as Wang, has been flying his daughter home in his small aircraft for several years, particularly during special occasions like festivals and holidays. Wang, who works as a pilot trainer, hails from Anhui province in eastern China.
According to the South China Morning Post (SCMP), it typically takes Wang around three hours to drive to his hometown. However, by flying in his plane, the journey is significantly shortened to just 50 minutes. Not only does this save time, but it also allows his daughter to enjoy a peaceful nap during the flight.
In order to use the flying route, Wang must apply in advance and obtain permission to park at a nearby flying camp close to his parents’ home.
