The incident took place on Friday evening around 8:10 p.m. when authorities received a call regarding a shooting in the 900 block of Division Street. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim, identified as Richard Darlington Smith, had been walking down the street when he was shot multiple times.
Despite the efforts of emergency medical service personnel, Smith tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
