Accident – Death – Obituary News :

A 19-year-old man has been charged by the police for allegedly shooting at motorists along the Salt Spring main road in St James back in January. The suspect, identified as Phillip Sterling from the community of Meggie Top in Salt Spring, is facing multiple charges in connection with the incident.

According to police reports, the incident took place around 7:50 p.m. on January 21, when a man was driving his vehicle and Sterling emerged from behind a wall, opening fire at the vehicle. Fortunately, the driver managed to escape without any injuries and promptly reported the incident to the authorities.

Following the report, an investigation was launched which led to the arrest of Phillip Sterling. He has since been charged with shooting with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, using a firearm to commit a felony, and possession of a firearm with intent to injure.

Sterling’s court date is currently being finalized, as confirmed by the police on Saturday. The authorities are committed to ensuring that justice is served in this case and are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
