A tragic accident took place on Saturday, Feb. 17 in Oakdale, Suffolk County. The victim, identified as Nyree Walker, age 28, from Wyandanch, was driving a 2016 Honda Civic eastbound on Montauk Highway when the incident occurred.
According to Suffolk County Police, Walker lost control of the vehicle and collided with a tree around 12:35 p.m. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
The authorities are urging anyone with information about the crash to come forward and contact the Suffolk County PD Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
