MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) – A routine traffic stop in Mt. Juliet turned into a major discovery for police officers, as they found guns, drugs, and a woman wanted in three different counties.

The incident took place on Friday, Feb. 16, when officers noticed a vehicle with a registration violation on Mt. Juliet Road near I-40.

Upon further investigation, authorities revealed that the driver, a 33-year-old woman from Nashville, was wanted in Wilson, Davidson, and Rutherford counties for probation violation and failure to appear warrants.

Alongside the driver, a 22-year-old man from Nashville was also taken into custody. Both individuals were found in possession of two handguns, cocaine, marijuana, and non-prescribed pills.

The Mt. Juliet Police Department praised the proactive work of their officers in preventing criminal activity within the city. They stated, “This stop highlights another example of the proactive work our officers engage in to ensure criminals, whether passing through or visiting Mt. Juliet, are not successful in further criminal activity.”

Despite the arrests, further details about the suspects and the charges they face have not been disclosed.
