A 39-year-old man from San Francisco was apprehended by deputies from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office on Friday. The arrest was made after law enforcement officials observed the suspect peering into unoccupied vehicles in the Windy Hill parking lot located in the 500 block of Portola Valley.

Deputies approached the individual around 11 a.m. as he matched the description of a suspect involved in a previous auto burglary in the same area a few weeks prior.

The man, later identified as Jeiner Ocampo Quintero, was taken into custody. Upon further inspection, authorities discovered that Quintero was in possession of multiple burglary tools at the time of his arrest.

Quintero now faces charges of auto burglary, tampering with a vehicle, and possession of burglary tools. He is currently held at the Maguire Correctional Facility awaiting further legal proceedings.
