Tragic Loss: Ami Brown’s Great-Niece, Danelle Branson, Passes Away at 29

It is with heavy hearts that we report the untimely death of Danelle Branson, the beloved great-niece of Ami Brown, star of the popular reality TV series Alaskan Bush People. Danelle, who was only 29 years old, tragically passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024, in Mineral Wells, Texas.

Danelle’s mother, Amber Branson, also a former cast member of Alaskan Bush People, sadly lost her life on May 2, 2020, due to severe injuries sustained in a devastating fire at her Texas home.

Described as a vibrant and talented individual, Danelle had a wide range of passions. She found joy in writing poetry, drawing, fishing, gardening, dancing, and following fashion trends. She also enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, spending quality time with her children, and cherishing moments with her family and friends.

The circumstances surrounding Danelle’s death are heart-wrenching. According to a Texas coroner, the suspected cause at the scene was suicide by gunshot. However, the final cause of death is pending confirmation from an autopsy.

Les Branson, Danelle’s uncle, took to Facebook to share the devastating news with their loved ones. In a heartrending post, he wrote, “It is with great sadness that I must relay to you that my great niece, Danelle Sarae Branson, took her own life yesterday. She is the daughter of my late niece, Amber Branson.”

A Family Touched by Tragedy

The Brown family, prominently featured on Alaskan Bush People, has faced unimaginable hardships in recent years. Following Amber’s passing in 2020, the family experienced another profound loss when the patriarch of the show, Billy Brown, passed away in February 2021 at the age of 68.

Billy’s death was a devastating blow to the family, as he was not only a beloved father and grandfather but also a cherished husband. Bear Brown, Billy’s son, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, describing his father as their best friend and expressing the immense void left by his absence.

Amber’s tragic death, caused by severe burns, occurred less than a year before Billy’s passing. Authorities reported that she had suffered self-inflicted injuries. These consecutive losses have undoubtedly left a profound impact on the Brown family and their extended relatives.

In addition to the heartbreaking deaths, the family also faced a scare in 2017 when Ami Brown, the matriarch of the Alaskan Bush People clan, was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. The family made the difficult decision to relocate from Alaska to Washington State, enabling Ami to be closer to Los Angeles for her regular checkups. Miraculously, Ami successfully battled and overcame her cancer, bringing a glimmer of hope amidst the family’s hardships.
