CHICAGO – A Chicago resident has been apprehended nearly five months after allegedly perpetrating a vicious attack and robbery on an individual in the Bucktown area of the city’s Northwest Side.
Law enforcement authorities have identified the suspect as 33-year-old Andre Simmons. The incident, which occurred on September 25, 2023, involved Simmons and another assailant assaulting and robbing a 33-year-old man in the 2000 block of N. Damen Avenue.
After an extensive investigation, Simmons was apprehended on Wednesday and taken into custody. He now faces multiple charges including robbery, aggravated battery, driving on a suspended license, and two traffic citations.
The accused was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday. At the time of writing, no further details regarding the case were immediately available.
