His family confirmed his death in a statement on Tuesday 13th Feb, expressing their deep sorrow and requesting privacy during this difficult time.

Steve Wright joined the BBC in the 1970s and became well-known for hosting afternoon shows on Radio 1 and Radio 2. He also presented popular TV programs such as “Top of the Pops.” His death came as a shock to his colleagues, as just days before his passing he was working and talking to bosses.
