COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Police Department has issued a statewide Amber Alert in the early hours of Wednesday morning, as authorities intensify their search for a 5-year-old boy who has allegedly been abducted.
The Amber Alert was activated for Darnell Taylor after his foster parent reported that she had harmed the child and fled the scene by car.
The incident took place on Reeb Avenue in Columbus, according to information provided in the Amber Alert.
Darnell Taylor is described as having black hair and brown eyes.
The suspect in the abduction has been identified as 48-year-old Pammy Maye. Maye is described as being 4’9″ tall, weighing 115 pounds, and having brown hair and eyes.
The vehicle involved in the abduction is a gray 2015 Jeep Cherokee with the Ohio license plate number jiggzii, according to the Amber Alert.
Authorities are urging anyone with information or who spots the child, suspect, or vehicle to immediately contact 911.
