Chaint was accompanied by five or six other people who threatened the victim and forcibly removed his clothes. Subsequently, he was hung from the ceiling and subjected to continuous beatings with belts and sticks.
The victim further alleged that the accused repeatedly pressured him to make weekly payments, despite his explanations that his small shop made it impossible for him to comply with their demands.
Betul Superintendent of Police, Sidharth Choudhary, stated, “After the video of the incident went viral, the local police took immediate action and registered a case under the relevant sections of the law. Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident. It appears that this heinous act was a result of some local rivalry.”
