The State Patrol promptly responded to the incident, which took place shortly after 6 p.m. The collision involved a minivan traveling north on the four-lane highway and an eastbound car at the intersection with 445th St. in Zumbrota.
The car driver, identified as 49-year-old Aaron Wallace Mickow of Zumbrota, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment. It has been reported that Mickow’s injuries are not life-threatening. The driver of the minivan, 24-year-old Margalith Lea Eisenbach from Potsville, IA, was unharmed in the accident.
According to the crash report, it remains unclear whether Mickow was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. However, alcohol was ruled out as a factor, and the intersection was dry during the collision.
