FERRIDAY, La. (KNOE) – In a recent incident, four individuals have been apprehended by the Ferriday Police Department (FPD) after a shooting took place at Adam’s Grocery located in Concordia Parish. The FPD shared this update on their official Facebook page.
On February 12th, at approximately 5:54 p.m., the FPD was notified by Trinity Medical Center about a gunshot wound victim who had been admitted to the hospital. The injured individual was identified as Zavier Milligan, a 20-year-old male.
Following this incident, the FPD launched a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the Adam’s Grocery shooting. Through their diligent efforts, the FPD successfully apprehended four suspects believed to be involved in the incident.
The four individuals arrested in connection with the shooting are a 16-year-old juvenile, Ronnie Perkins (24), Paul Swanson Jr. (19), and Jyrin Gibson (21).
The charges filed against each suspect are as follows:
- The 16-year-old juvenile is facing charges of attempted second-degree murder, illegal possession of a gun by a juvenile, illegal use of weapons, and obstruction of justice.
- Ronnie Perkins is charged with obstruction of justice and resisting an officer with force or violence.
- Paul Swanson Jr. is facing two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, obstruction of justice, illegal use of weapons, two counts of illegal carrying of weapons, and a bench warrant for failure to appear.
- Jyrin Gibson is charged with obstruction of justice, two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, and illegal carrying of weapons.
According to the FPD, Swanson, Gibson, and Milligan are also facing additional charges related to a shooting that occurred on February 11th.
