Hamilton police have issued a warning stating that a 22-year-old man suspected of killing his father in Stoney Creek, Ontario, is currently at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Law enforcement officials were alerted to the incident at a residence located in the Trafalgar Drive and Mud Street West area on Sunday evening, shortly after 7:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a man with severe injuries. The victim, identified as 56-year-old Kuldip Singh of Stoney Creek, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away later on.

The prime suspect in this case is 22-year-old Sukhraj Cheema-Singh, the son of the deceased. Hamilton police have launched a manhunt for Cheema-Singh, who is wanted on charges of first-degree murder. Authorities believe that he fled the scene in a dark blue 2022 Ford Edge SUV with the Québec licence plate FSC 7432. The vehicle was last seen heading northbound on Trafalgar Drive towards Mud Street.

It is important to note that the suspect vehicle may be an Enterprise rental car and could potentially have an identifying sticker. Authorities are urging the public to exercise caution and not approach Cheema-Singh under any circumstances. Instead, individuals are advised to immediately contact the police by dialing 911. A photograph of the suspect has been released to aid in his identification.
