Pablo Grant, a talented actor and member of the hip-hop group BHZ from Berlin-Schöneberg, has tragically passed away at the young age of 26. The news has shocked the music and film scene in Berlin.
The devastating news of Grant’s death comes just a day after the cancellation of BHZ’s tour due to “very short-term health reasons.” The band shared this heartbreaking update on their Instagram profile on Sunday evening, revealing that Grant had died as a result of a thrombosis.
Grant, also known as “Dead Dawg” or Pablo Grant-Zapata, rose to fame not only for his musical talent but also for his acting skills. He had a permanent role as chief detective Günther Márquez in Magdeburg’s “Polizeiruf 110”, where he supported Inspector Doreen Brasch in her work. Additionally, Grant appeared in popular television shows such as “SOKO Hamburg” and films like “The Ghost in the Glass” and “Never Too Late” alongside renowned actor Heino Ferch.
Born in Berlin in 1997, Grant made his mark in the cinema industry with notable appearances in films such as “Bibi & Tina: Girls Against Boys” and “Misfit”. He also showcased his talent in the web series “Druck”, which depicted the everyday struggles of young people at the Barnim-Gymnasium in Berlin.
