Genesse Ivonne Moreno : “Joel Osteen Church Shooter Identified as Genesse Moreno: Local Media”

The individual who walked into Joel Osteen’s Lakewood, Texas church on Sunday, pulled out a gun and opened fire, has been identified as Genesse Ivonne Moreno, 36. Moreno had a 5-year-old child, wearing a trench coat, and opened fire upon entering the church.

Local news reports have indicated that multiple sources have said that Genesse Ivonne Moreno is suspected of being the “armed woman” who was killed at the church Sunday. However, it has since been revealed that Moreno was male. Two off-duty officers shot and killed Moreno, who was carrying a weapon emblazoned with the slogan “Free Palestine.”

Jeremy Rogalski of KHOU-TV further reported that Moreno “had prior arrests for assault, forgery, marijuana possession, theft, evading, and unlawful carrying weapon.”

Genesse Moreno, who also went by Jeffrey Escalante Moreno among other aliases, was from El Salvador. The child Moreno brought to the church was shot and injured and remains in critical condition in a local hospital. Additionally, a 57-year-old man was also shot in the leg and taken to a hospital for treatment.

Authorities conducted a search at a home in Conroe, believed to be associated with the shooter. Moreno openly discussed a love of firearms and even posted about cleaning an AR-15, showcasing the weapon in the process.

Moreno also posted about giving money to Osteen’s church, indicating that Moreno had attended and was part of that church.

On Moreno’s Instagram page, there are pictures showing Moreno presenting in a feminine way.

Moreover, Moreno expressed support for Bernie Sanders.

Moreno also shared posts about a child who appeared to be in his care.

In response to the shooting, Joel Osteen spoke out, saying “There are forces of evil, but the forces that are for us, the forces of God are stronger than that.”
