Ferndale Teen Boy : Teen Boy Injured in Shooting at Southfield Hotel: Critical Condition

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – A teenager from Ferndale was left in critical condition after sustaining a gunshot wound during a tragic incident at a hotel in Southfield.

According to local authorities, emergency services received a distress call around 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, February 11th, prompting a swift response to the Westin Hotel, situated just north of the prominent 10 Mile Road. Upon arrival, police discovered a teenage boy suffering from a severe gunshot wound. Immediate medical aid was administered at the scene, and the victim was urgently transported to a nearby hospital, where he is currently listed in critical condition. Regrettably, medical professionals have determined that his chances of survival are slim.

Preliminary investigations by the Southfield Police Department have revealed that the victim was unsupervised in a hotel room, accompanied by two other underage individuals, when the tragic shooting incident occurred. Law enforcement officials were able to recover two firearms from the waistband of a 15-year-old boy from Detroit, who was subsequently taken into custody. The third juvenile involved has been identified as a resident of Southfield.
