After owning a couple of gas stations and trying his hand at various jobs, Moore eventually found his passion for selling natural foods and whole grains. In 1974, he opened Moores’ Flour Mill in Redding, California with his wife, Charlee, and two of their sons. A few years later, the couple took a leap of faith and launched what would become Bob’s Red Mill Natural Foods when they purchased an old feed mill in Milwaukie, Oregon.
Bob’s Red Mill quickly gained attention and became a beloved brand known for its commitment to wholesome foods. Under Moore’s leadership, the company flourished, with estimated revenue surpassing $100 million by 2010.
