In 1974, he opened Moores’ Flour Mill in Redding, California with his wife, Charlee, and two of their sons. A few years later, the couple took a leap of faith and launched what would become Bob’s Red Mill Natural Foods when they purchased an old feed mill in Milwaukie, Oregon.
