AMPANG: The lifeless body of a woman, who was found naked in Tasik Pandan Lake View in Pandan Perdana, has been identified as a 53-year-old local resident, authorities have confirmed.

Providing an update on the case, Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail stated that a post-mortem examination had been carried out at Hospital Ampang to determine the cause of death.

“The post-mortem results suggest that the cause of death was drowning,” said Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail when contacted on Monday (Feb 12).

The shocking incident came to light on Sunday (Feb 11) when a concerned member of the public reported to the police that an unclothed woman had entered the lake at approximately 8.13am.

After two hours of intense search and rescue efforts, the lifeless body of the woman was eventually found and recovered from the lake.

Authorities present at the scene were unable to locate any form of identification documents, further complicating the process of identifying the deceased woman.

In light of this tragic incident, the community is urged to come forward and provide any relevant information to assist the police in their investigation.
