TIRUPATI: A leopard, which sustained injuries in a hit and run case along NH 44 near Penukonda in Sri Sathya Sai district on February 6, died at Sri Venkateswara zoological park in Tirupati.

It may be recalled that the forest department shifted the injured leopard to the SV zoo park for better trauma care. Though veterinary doctors tried their level best to revive the injured leopard, the wild cat died at a special enclosure at the zoo in Tirupati on Saturday.
