Arrest Made in Paphos for Church Break-in, Theft, and Possession of Burglary Tools
A Paphos resident was apprehended last night in connection with a case involving the breaking into a local church, theft, and possession of burglary tools. The arrest was made by diligent members of the Polis Chrysochous police station during a routine patrol.
The incident occurred just after 11 p.m. yesterday at the Panayia Chrysovenetiotissa church, located in the picturesque Latsi area. Police officers noticed a suspicious vehicle parked within the church courtyard.
Upon entering the church, which surprisingly was unlocked, law enforcement officials discovered a man attempting to conceal himself among the pews. The individual was later identified as a 25-year-old resident from a Polis Chrysochous district community.

In light of the evidence, the offender was promptly remanded in custody. The Polis Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has assumed responsibility for further investigation into the case.
