25-year-old Man Killed and Three Others Injured in Suspected Theft Case

New Delhi, India – In a shocking incident in the Khichripur area of Delhi, a 25-year-old man lost his life while three others sustained injuries after being brutally beaten by a group of individuals who suspected them of being thieves. The incident occurred during the late hours of Sunday, as reported by the police.
The incident came to light when a PCR call alerted the police about an ongoing theft attempt in a residential property. Upon receiving the call, the police promptly responded and arrived at the scene to find a distressing sight. Vinod, the caller, was present at the location when the police reached.
Upon inspection, it was revealed that the deceased, identified as Sahil, son of Raj Singh, and the three injured individuals were attacked by the public under the presumption of burglary. Sahil, who suffered two stab wounds, succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at LBS Hospital. The other three victims were also found with injuries allegedly inflicted by the public, according to officials.
An investigation has been initiated, and a case has been registered under sections 302 (murder), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (wrongful restraint), and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). As part of the initial inquiries, the police have apprehended three individuals named Vipul, Aditya, and Atul. However, two other suspects, Karan and Altaf, are still at large and efforts are underway to locate and apprehend them.
One of the associates of the deceased, known as Kamaljeet alias Vicky, has a prior criminal record involving house theft, robbery, and theft cases. This information adds a new dimension to the incident and raises questions about the motives and background of those involved.
Police authorities are currently examining CCTV footage to gather further evidence and identify additional suspects. The preliminary investigation suggests that Sahil, Vicky, and their accomplices had entered the residence with the intent to commit theft but were caught by the occupants and their associates. The situation then escalated into a violent confrontation, resulting in Sahil’s tragic demise and injuries to the other individuals involved.
