Known for his roles as Apollo Creed in the “Rocky” movies and for his appearances in films such as “Predator” and “Happy Gilmore,” Weathers was a beloved figure in the entertainment industry.

According to his manager, Matt Luber, Weathers passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday. The family issued a statement expressing their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, his co-star in the film “Predator,” paid tribute to Weathers on Instagram, describing him as an extraordinary athlete, a fantastic actor, and a great person. Schwarzenegger also acknowledged the integral role Weathers played in the success of their collaboration.
