Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui Opens Up About Overcoming Insecurities
In a recent interview with the Unfiltered by Samdish YouTube channel, renowned actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui revealed that he used to struggle with insecurities and a stammering problem earlier in his life. However, he overcame these challenges after achieving success in the film industry.
A Journey of Self-Discovery and Growth
Nawazuddin Siddiqui, known for his impressive performances in films like Gangs of Wasseypur and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, admitted that he never expected to become such a popular actor. He described himself as a “tube light” who used to stammer and take time to understand things. However, his life took a positive turn between 2005 and 2006 when he started getting regular work.
The actor shared, “When I am really angry, the stammering comes back. It went away in 2005 and 2006. Maybe it was there because of insecurity, and then when I achieved some things in life, it went away.”
A Determination to Create Opportunities
Despite his success, Nawazuddin Siddiqui expressed that he would never ask for work if he ever faces a shortage of opportunities. Instead, he would be willing to sell all his belongings to fund his own projects. He stated, “If I don’t have work tomorrow, I don’t even have the strength to go and ask for it. I will sell my house, my shoes, and everything and make a film on my own. I am so confident about that. Acting is important, but acting in films is not. I will do it on the streets, trains, or bus.”
