Long Queues Formed at Expo to Meet Operación Triunfo Contestants

Early Morning Fervor

Despite the fog and cold weather in the early hours, fans of the popular show ‘Operación Triunfo’ were undeterred. The Palacio de Congresos at the Expo was filled with people queuing to be the first to enter the venue where three contestants – Juanjo, Naiara, and Álvaro – would be signing their albums.

Some of these enthusiastic fans even spent the night outdoors, while others arrived at the crack of dawn. By 6 am, two long queues had already formed, stretching several hundred meters. One queue led towards the Torre del Agua, while the other extended from the Palacio de Congresos to the parking lot of Parque del Agua.

Anticipated Surge in Attendees

The doors wouldn’t open until 10 am, and it was expected that the number of attendees would continue to grow during this time, as fans from other parts of Spain had also arrived. Among the early birds were fans from Catalonia, Valencia, and the Basque Country. The event organizers are working together to provide information to the young fans and ensure a smooth waiting experience.

Fans Gathered at Fnac Plaza España

On Friday, several fans braved the fog and waited outside the Fnac store at Plaza España in Zaragoza before it opened, hoping to get their hands on an ‘Operación Triunfo’ album.

However, on Thursday, Fnac España announced on Twitter that the albums had sold out on their website and app, and that there would be a limited number of editions available at certain physical stores, including the Fnac store at Plaza España in Zaragoza.

Requirements for Album Signing

At the album signing event on Saturday, the two local contestants, Juanjo and Naiara, accompanied by Álvaro Mayo, were prepared to receive the love and support of their fans. To obtain a signature from the ‘triunfitos’, fans were required to bring the album ‘Operación Triunfo 2023. Lo mejor Parte 1’ (15.99 euros), which includes 25 songs performed on the show, such as ‘Libertad’, ‘Padam, padam’, and ‘Inmortal’.

Disappointment for Some Fans

The long queues, frustrations, and eagerness to get hold of one of the limited albums for sale were all driven by the desire to meet their idols. Unfortunately, those who were unable to secure an album would miss out on the opportunity to see their favorite contestants on that Saturday.
