Ice Train, whose real name was Harold Hogue, had a memorable career in WCW (World Championship Wrestling). He participated in the inaugural Fall Brawl event and maintained an impressive undefeated streak during his time with the company. Hogue was part of a tag team called The New Blood and even had a notable match against the future WWE legend, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, teaming up with Ron Simmons to face The Hollywood Blonds in 1993.

Hogue continued to compete in WCW until 2001 when the company was acquired by WWE. In 2019, he briefly came out of retirement for a single match.

Following Hogue’s passing, Marc “Johnny B. Badd” Mero took to X (formerly Twitter) to pay tribute to his friend. Mero shared a photo of himself and Hogue at a recent Christmas party, both of them grinning from ear to ear. Mero described Hogue as a bright light in this world.

Fans of professional wrestling also took to social media to express their condolences and share their fond memories of Hogue. Many mentioned his infectious smile, which lit up the room whenever he entered. One fan on X wrote, “What a smile he had! I bet he lit the room up when he entered. I always enjoyed his work as Ice Train in WCW. RIP Harold Hogue.”

Another fan recalled Hogue’s smile inside the ring, stating that it was often bigger and brighter than anything else around. Additionally, a wrestling enthusiast lamented the fact that Hogue passed away at such a young age, saying, “Sorry to learn that Ice Train left us too soon.”

DDP mentioned on social media that the family would be releasing a statement in the near future and requested privacy during this difficult time. The cause of Hogue’s death has not been disclosed.
