Former Bridgeport and North Jackson Head Football Coach Jim Thomas Passes Away

Thomas, who was the last head coach for Bridgeport High School from 1980 to 1987, and later served as an assistant at North Jackson from 1988 to 1998, passed away on an undisclosed date in January 2024.

Thomas was the last Bridgeport head coach (1980-87) and was an assistant at North Jackson from 1988-98 after Bridgeport & Stevenson consolidated to form NJHS in 1988. Thomas was NJ’s head coach in 1999.
