Naik’s passion for dramatics began at a young age when he joined ‘Hauns Natya Mandal’, the oldest theater organization in Goa, founded by his father, Vishwanath. At the age of 14, with the support of his family, who were actively involved in theater, Naik ventured into directing by staging a one-act play called ‘Kaalpravah’.

Over the course of his career spanning three decades, Naik directed over 100 dramas, earning him the affectionate nickname ‘Viju’ within Goa’s drama circle.
