Last Friday, Twin Falls Police Officers were called to the 500 block of 2nd Avenue East in response to a large fight. When they arrived, individuals scattered, leaving officers unable to determine if a crime had taken place. Later that evening, shots were reported at Liberty and 2nd Avenue East. The same individual involved in the earlier altercation was found near the scene, and shell casings were discovered.

At 9:40 pm, a victim, Christopher M. Gonzales, was admitted to St. Luke’s ER with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower abdomen. Authorities have not made any arrests and believe the incident was not random. Chief Craig Kingsbury stated, “We are actively working with the victim to identify other individuals involved in the shooting.”
