Deputies from the U.S. Marshals Service and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office recently apprehended a fugitive wanted in connection with a shooting death at the Summit Park Apartments in Whitehaven. Roland Robinson, 27, was tracked down at a house in Mallory Heights early Monday morning.

Following an extensive search of the premises, Robinson was discovered hiding in a closet by Marko, a K9 officer with the SCSO Fugitive Apprehension Team. Robinson is currently being held at 201 Poplar on charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. No bond has been set at this time.
The incident stems from a shooting on June 17, where Cory Allen was found shot to death at the Summit Park Apartments. Another man was also reportedly shot at but escaped unharmed.
