As a young man in Mangalore, the bravery of soldiers like Captain Saurabh Kalia and Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey inspired me to join the Army. Their sacrifice and courage pushed me to serve my country, clad in olive green.

Captain Kalia, the first Indian officer to fall in the war, endured unimaginable torture at the hands of the enemy.
