DCP Zone-2, Jagdish Bangarwa, confirmed the incident and stated, “Last night, a car hit a 60-year-old woman named Vijyaben Bathwar on the outskirts of Rajkot. She passed away in the incident. We have information that the car driver dragged her for nearly 1.5 kilometres.” The police have registered an FIR in connection with the incident and have impounded the car involved, which belongs to a resident of Dhoraji.

Authorities are currently conducting a search operation to identify and apprehend the accused responsible for this heinous act. DCP Bangarwa mentioned, “FIR has been registered in the matter. The car belongs to a person living in Dhoraji. The car has been impounded by police. Search is underway to identify and locate the accused.”
