In a shocking incident in Hyderabad, a 43-year-old man named Mohd Asif has been arrested for selling his 18-day-old baby girl for Rs 1 lakh. The man went out with the toddler on Monday but returned home without her, claiming that he had sold her to a woman named Chand Sultana, aged 55.
Asif’s wife, Asma Begum, who is 30 years old, became suspicious when her husband came back without their daughter. Upon questioning, Asif confessed to selling the baby girl for a large sum of money. Distraught and horrified, Asma immediately reported the incident to the police.
