LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department recently announced the arrest of a second suspect in relation to a fatal shooting that took place in the northwest valley earlier this year. The incident, which occurred in the 7300 block of Prairie Falcon Road at around 4:00 p.m., resulted in the death of one individual and injuries to two others.

The victim who lost their life in the shooting has been identified as 41-year-old Carl Chester, Jr. The Clark County Coroner confirmed the identity of the deceased individual.

A suspect has been arrested in connection to a fight that led to a deadly shooting over the weekend in the northwest valley.

The latest suspect to be apprehended in connection to this case is 63-year-old Michael Mays, who was taken into custody on Wednesday, July 10th. Mays faces charges of open murder in relation to the incident. Another suspect, 29-year-old Keveon Glenn, was previously arrested on similar charges back in May.

According to reports from law enforcement, the shooting ensued following a physical altercation involving multiple individuals in the area. The circumstances surrounding the altercation and subsequent shooting are still under investigation by the LVMPD Homicide division.
