Accident – Death – Obituary News :
Devastating landslides triggered by heavy rainfall have resulted in the tragic loss of 10 lives in Kaski district, with one person still reported missing.
The most heartbreaking incident occurred in ward 19 of Pokhara Metropolitan City, where seven members of the same family were buried alive by the landslide at approximately 10:15pm on Thursday. The victims have been identified as Kul Bahadur Pariyar (47), his wife Man Kumari (43), his mother Laxima (85), their daughters Prabha (20) and Prashna (15), as well as their son-in-law Asmit Pariyar. Tragically, their neighbour Radhika Pariyar also lost her life while attempting to rescue the victims, as confirmed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Basant Kumar Sharma.
In a separate incident, three young children aged 18, 11, and 9 lost their lives in Chainpur of Pokhara-32 due to landslides.

Furthermore, an 80-year-old woman named Maiti Kumari Gurung has been reported missing in Tallo Saple of Madi Rural Municipality-11 following the disaster.
The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences for postmortem examinations to determine the exact cause of death.
