SRINAGAR: A devastating road accident in the remote Keran area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district has left one man dead and seven others injured, with some in critical condition.

According to officials, the incident involved a vehicle with registration number HR 26 BY 0374, which tragically overturned while carrying eight passengers in the Keran region. The sudden flip resulted in multiple injuries to the occupants of the vehicle.
Upon receiving information about the accident, local law enforcement swiftly responded to the scene. The injured individuals were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. Some of the more seriously injured victims were subsequently transferred to a hospital in Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Tragically, one of the injured individuals, identified as Farid Ahmad, a dedicated teacher by profession, succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura. His father, who also sustained severe injuries in the accident, is currently receiving vital treatment to address his critical condition.
In light of this tragic incident, the local authorities have initiated a thorough investigation to ascertain the circumstances that led to the fatal accident. The community is mourning the loss of life and praying for the swift recovery of those injured in the heart-wrenching event.
