Authorities have confirmed the identity of the motorcyclist who tragically lost his life in a head-on collision in Groton, Massachusetts. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon on Boston Road.

The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Cody Trudell from Ayer. Trudell was riding his motorcycle when a vehicle crossed into the opposite lane and collided with him. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Trudell succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash, a 20-year-old woman from Townsend, remained at the scene following the collision. Law enforcement officials have not disclosed the driver’s name or whether she will face any charges in connection with the incident.

State troopers from the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office are currently working alongside Groton police to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
