In a disturbing incident of road rage in Eagle Mountain, Utah, a man was followed by an enraged driver who threatened him with a gun. The incident occurred on Friday, leaving the victim shaken and fearing for his life.

The victim, identified as Corbin Curtis, was followed from Saratoga Springs to Ranches Golf Club, as reported by KSL 5. Curtis recounted the terrifying experience, stating that the aggressive driver verbally threatened him and even went as far as cocking his gun and pointing it towards him.

“If you keep driving like a b-word, I’m gonna,” Curtis recalled the driver saying before the chilling sound of the gun being cocked. The driver then menacingly warned Curtis, “Yeah, you better drive off before I blast you,” but fortunately, no shots were fired during the ordeal.

The suspect driver was later identified as 41-year-old William Louis. Louis now faces charges of third-degree felony aggravated assault with a road rage enhancement, highlighting the seriousness of the incident.

Notably, this incident marks one of several reported cases of road rage in Eagle Mountain this summer. It is also among the first cases in Utah County to see enhanced charges under the state’s new road rage law, which aims to address and punish such aggressive and dangerous behaviour on the roads.
