Accident – Death – Obituary News : RACINE, Wis. — In the early hours of Wednesday morning, an alarming call was made to the Racine County Communication Center from Cliffside Park, located in the Village of Caledonia. The caller reported a troubling sight – a male suspect was discovered lying motionless on a pathway, clad in all-black attire.

A swift response was initiated, with a sheriff’s deputy and two officers from the Caledonia Police Department dispatched to the scene. Upon their arrival, the situation escalated as it was revealed that the suspect had discharged a firearm, prompting the law enforcement officers to seek cover.
The Racine County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) swiftly coordinated a tactical response involving multiple law enforcement agencies and first responders, including RCSO, Caledonia Police Department, Mount Pleasant Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, and Caledonia Fire Department. Despite repeated attempts to negotiate with the suspect, the situation intensified as the suspect’s actions compelled law enforcement officers from various jurisdictions to resort to discharging their firearms, ultimately leading to the suspect being struck.
Tragically, despite the valiant efforts of first responders in administering life-saving measures, the suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene in Cliffside Park. Identified as a 37-year-old white male with ties to both the City of Racine and the Village of Mount Pleasant, the suspect’s demise sent shockwaves through the community.
In response to the unfolding events, RCSO issued an emergency alert advising residents to steer clear of the area surrounding Cliffside Park. Those residing on Michna Road between 6 Mile and 7 Mile Roads were urged to seek shelter on the lowest levels of their residences as a precautionary measure.
